How does Mouse Chaser™ work?

The Mouse Chaser repels mice by assaulting their incredibly acute senses. Mice have a sense of smell over 100 times more sensitive than humans. Our proprietary blend of essential oils irritates their eyes and noses. (We work with this stuff and completely agree, so we have to be very careful in our lab too!) There is a reservoir that holds the essential oil blend. To activate, you simply pull up on the top, turn slightly, then depress the top back down into the next slot to pop the seal and engage the wick. Our patent-pending wick system draws the oil up into itself, and allows the oil fragrance to dissipate at a controlled rate. The wick and oil are inside the unit so your hands never come in contact with them. They are safe to use in the presence of pets and children. After 120 days, you simple pop off the top, and pop it onto a refill cartridge and you are back in mouse chasing business!

How do I know this product is effective?

We have sold over 30,000 units of Mouse Chaser’s predecessor: No Mouse in the House. Customers rave about its effectiveness. This next generation, Mouser Chaser is performing even better! The key ingredient is our proprietary blend of essential oils. It smells like peppermint to humans, but mice hate it! Are all mouse repellent products that use peppermint oil the same?

There are numerous varieties of essential oil products using different types, strengths, and qualities of essential oils. The cheaper the product, the less effectiveness you can expect from that product. The delivery system that emits the fragrance is an essential component of a product’s effectiveness. Oil dries out quickly when exposed to the air. That’s why our patent-pending delivery system is superior to those cheap products. Our wick system slowly disburses our proprietary essential oil blend and fragrance to keep a strong and consistent level of repellent for 120 days before needing to be refilled. Does Mouse Chaser™ work on other pests?

We have had customers use Mouse Chaser to keep chipmunks and/or squirrels out of enclosed spaces and reported that it worked. Customers have reported it works on squirrels–keeping them out of enclosed spaces. We anticipate that due to the similar physiology of animals in the rodent family, there’s a good chance that Mouse Chaser will work on other rodents. We aren’t sure there is an underground strategy for moles / voles using our products, though this is the number one question we get asked. How many Mouse Chaser™ units do I need?

Each Mouse Chaser unit creates an invisible barrier of essential oil fragrance of sufficient strength in a radius of approximately 4 ft. in every direction (8 ft. diameter.) It’s essential to understand that, the more air flow in an area, the more the fragrance is dissipating, or being “blown away”. So, you may need more units in areas that are not enclosed spaces. Mouse Chasers are usually placed behind cabinets, in drawers, in pantries, on shelves, in attics, in garages, and anywhere mice frequent. Here is a guide:
